Breaktime Club Expands in Clay County

Breaktime Club is excited to offer an expanded opportunity for participants and caregivers in Clay County with the addition of a second day of programming beginning June 2026.

Breaktime Club (BTC) is a supportive daytime program designed for older adults and dependent adults who benefit from supervision, social connection, and engaging activities. The program provides meaningful structure, stimulation, and companionship for participants while offering valuable respite for caregivers.

Second Day Schedule

The Breaktime Club Second Day meets on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM, allowing Clay County participants more flexibility and additional opportunities to stay active and connected.

  • Socialization and companionship with peers
  • Creative activities including arts, music, and games
  • Gentle chair exercises and movement
  • A nutritious lunch
  • Supervision and support from trained staff and volunteers

Breaktime Club serves adults age 60 and older, including those living with dementia, memory loss, brain injury, stroke, physical limitations, or seniors experiencing loneliness or isolation. Participants should be able to participate safely in a group setting with minimal assistance.

Affordable, Flexible Care for Clay County Families

The cost for the second-day program is $10 per session, charged only for the days attended. This affordable, pay-as-you-go structure makes Breaktime Club an accessible option for Clay County families seeking quality daytime support.

Enrollment Information

Enrollment is required before attending. Caregivers are asked to remain with the participant during the first visit to ensure a comfortable transition into the program.
