Summary
Estate Planning presented by Shepherd Elder Law.
Contrary to popular opinion, estate planning is not simply having a will and
estate planning is not just for the rich.
If you do not have an estate plan, you will not be able to define how your assets
will be distributed upon your passing or if you become incapacitated. Having a
comprehensive estate plan dictates how your assets will be distributed and will
minimize taxes and headaches to your heirs. We will discuss customizing a plan
that will protect what you have worked hard for. Including who you would like to
make decisions for you if you are incapacitated, designating family heirlooms,
and protecting your assets to work for you rather than against you. This may
include a last will and testament, tax minimization strategies, a living will, a
health care proxy, a durable power of attorney and various other formulations.
This is a Two-Part Series; the second session is on 10/22/2025 @ 1:30pm
